Web Content and Design

There was a time very recently when, if a company wanted to start making waves in the online world, all they had to do was to start a number of websites simultaneously. These websites could have multiple variations of the same domain names , in order to corner a market, and to pick up any incidental traffic from browsers looking for something similar to what they were offering.

It’s still not a bad way to go when beginning an enterprise, especially if there is time and resources available. Buying a domain on the internet is exactly like buying real estate, only the geography is virtual rather than physical. Having ownership of a space is a bit like planting one’s flag on a series of words that serve as the address.

However, what happens next is much more like architecture and interior design. It’s not simply a matter of maximizing the potential for visitors, but making it so that they want to stay once they do happen by. Artistic and interesting web design can be a key toward keeping these doors open, and helping to make the choice for the consumer. A truly elegant, sleek, or gripping design will keep anyone looking for a few moments, and when the content can back up the image, then the sky really is the limit.

  1. This is true a good design can catch the eye of anyone and lure them to your page I fall for it all the time even if the website isn’t that good.
