Rock and Roll Identity

Rock and Roll Identity

There are more reasons for dressing up as a rock and roll star than almost anything else. For all the icons in the past 50 years , from movie stars to queens, there are rare exceptions when anyone’s had a bigger audience than a music legend. It’s also something that usually hits people in their formative years. Pre-teenagers and beyond start developing a sense of self and the world right around the same time that music starts sounding very good. The ones who get the center of the attention are the rock stars of the world, and people grow up looking to them for role models.

It might be enough to make any parent shudder, and that happens with every passing generation. Those who make it through these years tend to remember their favorite stars when they’ve begun settling down and starting their own lives in the world. That can help to explain the popularity of Kiss Costumes , or dressing up like other icons of rock. Elvis is always popular, and so is Janice Joplin. Jim Morrison is always hard to pull off, because of his Adonis looks, and Jimi Hendrix is a favorite. They all have the appeal of bringing a memory of youth back to life, and it’s easy to be a rock star when it’s only for one evening.
