Good Stress, Good Spas

Good Stress, Good Spas

Any kind of change, positive or negative, can be stressful.  Since change is probably the only constant thing in our lives, this means that there is always stress, or almost always, to some degree, and it’s always been our challenge to live with it gracefully.  Positive changes are much easier to deal with, of course, but it’s important to remember that there’s still some stress involved.  No one can doubt that buying a hot tub for your own personal use is a very good thing, but it also means change.  Buying from choosehottubsdirect.com can take out most of the stress, and leave you room and energy to prepare for the new lifestyle ahead.

Their extremely user-friendly website can make your initial selection process easy and even fun, looking at all of the wonderful tubs that are available right now.  They have some of the latest models and styles, so you’ll have the most advanced technology available in your own personal spa.  There is a lot of variety in size, style, and features, so that you can get exactly what you’re looking for.  Also, another great benefit of working with this company is that their business ethic is focused on the customer’s needs, so that they’re extremely helpful in finding the perfect hot tub for your tastes, personal style, and budget.  It’s a long-term investment, and it’s a comfort to be working with people who have your own long-term in mind.

They’re also there to serve you in all areas of the transaction, from the shipping to the installation, and can help make it easier for you to make all the necessary arrangements to get your own spa working, so that you can start enjoying the benefits of a hot tub right away.  Because it is a long-term investment, and it will change how you live, and even more importantly, how you relax into your life, there is stress involved, but with the ease offered by their excellent customer service, the stress is minimal, so you can get ready for the splendid evenings ahead of you.

TransGlobe and the Relationship to the People of Ottawa

TransGlobe and the Relationship to the People of Ottawa

There are many historical buildings in Ottawa, Canada, many under the constant care of TransGlobe Property Management. What makes this so special, is that the community and the vibe of the city is translated through the managers of this company.  Many of the buildings are located close to the attractions, to the parks and the golf courses that are plentiful in the downtown area.  Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and is the fourth largest city in the country.  It is cosmopolitan, yet retains the home sweet home feel of the culture and the history and the outdoors.  There are many restaurants and urban settings for shopping and people watching.  It is a relaxed city, with a lot of things to do.

This is how the managers at TransGlobe Property Management operate, relaxed while they have much to do.  Taking care of rental buildings takes experience in communication, in proactive problem solving.  They must be the go-between, of the owners of the buildings and the tenants and they do this well.  They serve to keep everyone on every level, informed of the business at hand.  That may be in the financial realm, or in the realm of simply keeping the grounds of their properties well maintained.  They question and they keep all parties involved, giving them not only a say, but an investment as well.

And when people feel invested? in a place that they are simply renting? that is the show of a great management team.  They are constantly working a balancing act, between financial bottom lines and client satisfaction.  They meet the call when anticipation of and the handling of issues is necessary without losing site of the big picture.  This is not so easy to come by these days, but rest assured if your property is in the hands of TransGlobe, and rest assured should you be renting in a property run by Transglobe, needs will be met and concerns will be taken to heart.

Is Your Company a Great Company to Work For?

Is Your Company a Great Company to Work For?

What is true in the business world, big and small businesses, is also true in the restaurant world, in the retail world, or in a law firm.   No matter the differences in the goods and/or services the various industries offer, the same characteristics are those that make a place a really good place to go to work each day.  Go to any leadership training course, and one of the philosophical ideas is just how far “trust” will go with people.  Sincerity and trust.  When employees really trust those for whom they work, the owners and the managers they are able to take pride in knowing that they work for a great company, for great people.

I have worked in various companies throughout the years, some great, some not so good.  Two small business owners in Phoenix, never succeeded in gaining trust from the people working them.  The lines of communication were not open, and often very muddled.  The vision and the goals of the company were never established, so therefore they were never consistent.  And above all, the employees were not treated with integrity and with respect, often being criticized for actually, and simply wanting to get paid on time.

Read through any management or employee training book, and you will find that it will be amazing if these two can stay in business.  Not only is it difficult for them to keep qualified employees, the public can read the situation, and they are losing business.  With respect, and with vision, a good company will become a great one.  And as with all the other aspects of life, when employees are appreciated and celebrated for their individuality and their hard work, well it just makes them happier, and more productive.  It is just simple human relations.  But it will carry a company into the future, with employees that created respectful relationships not only with each other, but with the clients and the customers as well.

Hawker Food and Great Restaurants Are Part of Singapore’s Cuisine Options

Hawker Food and Great Restaurants Are Part of Singapore’s Cuisine Options

One of the interesting things Tim discovered on his business trip to Singapore was that it was definitely a great city to discover you were hungry in. This happened to him during the second meeting of the morning on his first day there. He was surprised by how hungry he was and how suddenly it hit him. Then he remembered he hadn’t eaten anything since the previous morning because he had difficult time eating anything when he flew and he went to sleep almost immediately after settling into his hotel room. That morning he grabbed a quick cup of coffee and was nervous about the first meeting, so he didn’t even think about breakfast. Tim was one of those individuals that just couldn’t eat when he was nervous, worried or otherwise upset or concerned about something.

At least his urgent hunger indicated to Tim that he was dealing well with the work and was feeling okay in Singapore. The downside was that since it was his first meeting in town he hadn’t had the chance to explore anything yet and had no idea where he would go and the meeting wasn’t scheduled to end for another 45 minutes. Just as Tim worried it would, his stomach began to make loud noises and it gained him some unwanted attention by his project partner. The partner offered him a Snicker’s bar but Tim was worried that the sugar would upset his system since it hadn’t had anything but caffeine in it for the past 24 hours.

Luckily for Tim the meeting ended 15 minutes early and he rushed out onto the street determined to dine in the first Singapore restaurant he found. It turns out that he didn’t even need to wait for a restaurant and he discovered a new way of having lunch and a great new meal. He encountered a hawker food vendor and saw a small line of people in front of it. He joined right in and ordered a bowl of the rice and fish. It tasted so good and was just what he needed to get through the rest of the day. When Tim looked up from his bowl noticed a sign for the Majestic Restaurant across the street. That looked great he thought and found the perfect place to have his dinner. Tim thought he might eat his way through the city of Singapore while he was there.

Fort Wayne Barbeque Festival

Fort Wayne Barbeque Festival

Dee Dee was put into a drawing to win one of three possible prizes; a trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana, an Ipod, or a dinner in a nice local restaurant. She was one of the top three sales people of the year for her company and this was one of the ways in which they demonstrated their appreciation for hard work. Dee Dee had her hopes on the Ipod because she didn’t have one and had been wanting to buy one. Meanwhile, she didn’t know a lot about Fort Wayne and she wasn’t much of a person to go out to dinner. Well, unless it was at her favorite ribs place, but this was a gift certificate for pasta and Dee Dee was currently on a low carbohydrate diet. As the names were drawn each of the sales staff placed their hand into a large bowl and withdrew a ticket. The first person to draw was Janet and she ended up drawing the Ipod. Dee Dee went second and the prizes were down to what seemed like it might be a nice trip and or cheating on her diet. Luckily for Dee Dee she drew the Fort Wayne prize, and while she was pleased with her prize she didn’t realize how fortunate it was at the time that she drew it.

Dee Dee invited her close friend Tom to go with her to and stay in one of the nice hotels Fort Wayne. They arrived in town on June 18th and were scheduled to stay until the 22nd. That afternoon they happened to be getting ready to find a nice deli to get something to eat when they overheard two people talking about a festival taking place at Headwaters Park. Dee Dee thought that was interesting sounding that a festival would be taking place there while they were visiting and she assumed it was some kind of crafts festival. Meanwhile she overheard that the two people had fasted a whole day to save up their appetite for the ribs. This immediately activated Dee Dee’s hunger and she insisted that she and Tom find this Headwaters Park. When they did Dee Dee thought she had found barbeque heaven. The event-taking place was actually a barbeque festival and they happened upon it on the first day it was open. For the next three days both she and Tom enjoyed great ribs and music. Dee Dee could have been happier.
