Nurturing New York

Nurturing New York

My friend is constantly looking for neat ways to develop and nurture her network of business and friend networks. She even helped me expand on my friend networking skills and now I have more friends than I know what to do with. But, it was through one of my new networking friends I found out about a new trend called the ‘Urban Hike.’ She stumbled upon a blog when she was trying to find new ways to get in shape, and the blog went into great details and strategies.

I found my new network friend when my boyfriend and I booked room at a Five Star Hotel New York City has, but we wanted to do something a little different, this would be our umpteenth time going to New York because it offers so much to do and no time to do it all. So, my new network friend told us she’d organize an urban hike for us. She’d invite all her new networking friends to join us. She said she’ll pick the most interesting diverse networking friends she feels will make the trip not only feel like a hike, but a cocktail party. She said she’ll only plan a half a day of walking and find oddball points of interest and my most favorite part, eatery stops.

My boyfriend and I were so excited! We though what a wonderful way to have fun, burn calories and learn about unusual points of interest. Plus, the possibility of making new friends to visit when next we come to New York. We will be able to see who’s coming on the urban hike because she’ll use Evite and we’ll be able to track all the people she invited and read a little bit about them before the urban hike even starts. For sure, my boyfriend and I will most definitely have a new and wonderful experience, even if for a half a day, in New York.
