Elton John Helped Eminem Through Rehab

Rapper Eminem has been candid in his latest interview from Detroit’s Metro Times. He has talked about his battle with substance abuse in the past issues of XXL and Vibe and his recent interview has revealed that help during his time in rehab came from a surprising place.

Eminem said that he has become friends with Elton John and talked with him a lot, especially about his career. Eminem said that he can relate to John because John knows the pressures of being in the business.

It’s interesting that Eminem and Elton John have become such good friends now. Ti used to be widely known that Eminem was no fan of gay people. There used to be protests outside his concerts because of lyrics in his songs that people felt were homo-phobic.

Alcohol rehab is an important step, but it will be interesting to see if it can work on Eminem. He is notoriously a bad boy and made a lot of money off of that reputation. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the famous white rapper.

Many programs found in drug rehab or drug addiction treatment centers insist that support from family and friends help to strengthen the success of the program. In many 12 step programs a mentor is even given. It is helpful to have that support and advice from someone who has been through the same experience.
