Mallorca in the Balearic Islands

Mallorca one of the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations in Europe.   It’s weather, hotels, airport, beaches and landscape account for its sustained popularity. Mallorca is the largest Balearic Island and some of the best Balearic hotels are found here.  The main town – Palma has a beautiful old medieval part with cobbled streets which have wonderful shops, restaurants and nightclubs.

Mallorca has a fantastic array of beaches and whether it’s a quaint coves you are looking for or one of the extensive beaches serving the resorts you will find it here.  The Playa de Palma beach is 6 kilometer long and is one of the most popular beaches found to the east of Palma.  To the west of Palma are the Palma Nova and Magaluf beaches.  This is one of the most developed tourist sections including some of the best five star hotels in Mallorca.  These five star Mallorca hotels include the Hotel Cala Sant Vicenc and the Castillo Hotel Son Vida

But its not just about the beaches.  The landscape changes as you travel around the island.  From the rugged northern mountains of the Tramuntana, to the central plains, to the secluded coves and beaches there is planty to see on the island.  There is history too including the Lluc monastery,  the Pollensa church, and of course the old part of Palma.  Mallorca is an ideal spot to have either a relaxed or adventurous vacation.
