There are several new trends in the world of beauty these days. Getting permanent makeup eyebrows is one of the hottest and fastest growing trends. It saves time and money for the lucky woman that get this done and she looks great when she wakes up, gets out of the shower, goes swimming or works up a sweat.

And the permanent make up that they can do besides eyebrows is amazing. You can have blush permanent on your cheeks. You can also have your eyeliner done. Think of the hassle that you will no longer have to go through each day. You’ll wake up looking refreshed and put together.

The coverage of the Grand Slam events is usually great. If I miss an important match, I end up catching the highlights on the evening news. But last year my son was home from college and he messed up the French Open highlights for me.

My Sooner son thought it would be funny to put in a tape of Roger Federer winning another tournament and make it look like he was winning on the French Open news.

I just about died because I really wanted Roger to win and the last I had heard, he wasn’t doing too well in that tournament. My son sure thought that it was funny to see me so excited that Roger was winning the French Open. In fact he videotaped it and is planning on putting it on the Internet.

I went to the Museum of Natural History and I found the entire experience to be quite cathartic. I felt as if I walked back into history and could actually imagine how life was in a different time. It really was so beautiful.

After that experience, I decided that I had to design my encounter with history because too often one doesn’t know she is living in a period that will be studied for generations to come.

I pulled out several maps and thought about which places I would like to go to make myself be a part of everything going on. Obviously I had a map of United States. With the election this year, I, along with everyone else, am witnessing history.

I also got my map of Russia because Vladimir Putin stepped down as President and is now Prime Minister. I think that Russia is only going to get stronger and become a real force once again.

And I got out several Texas maps. I know that the state of Texas does not seem to historically significant right now but with the polygamy cases going on right now, I think that what happens there will affect all of us and our rights.

Overall, my experience at the Natural History Museum was great. And I learned a lot of the past, present and where I think the future of history is.
