I love history. In my home office I have several books on different wars and I have maps for the areas that were affected by those wars. I think that knowing what caused a war in the past is a great way of preventing them in the future.

I have several European maps with notes on battles that took place in World War II. I’ve also been to Austria and Germany and I have photos of battlefields. On my wall are several maps of Germany.

I have never been to Japan but I have a couple of Japan maps marked where the United States dropped the atomic bombs on them. I feel like if I know about this part of history then I can do my part to prevent it from happening again.

Buying Tickets for Shows and Concerts

Buying Tickets for Shows and Concerts

Summer is getting closer!  Its time to determine all the activities and fun stuff I am going to do now that the weather is improving.  Its nice to have that feeling of anticipation after a long winter cooped up inside.  I’m planning to do and see a lot of fun things this year.One thing I will be doing is attending a lot of events and concerts.

I will be looking for tickets – theater tickets, concert tickets and sports tickets.  I’m also planning to do quite a bit of traveling around the country.   The good thing about this is that I will be able to attend quite a few shows during my travels.  I will take along my laptop and order my tickets online.  It will make life a lot easier.  As well as enjoying sports events and other types of shows I am planning to do some hiking, enjoy some water sports, do some sight seeing and enjoy my share of great food and drinks.  This is shaping up to be a fun summer!

I love spending the summer driving around the country. My favorite part is cruising on Route 66. I take it from Chicago through Oklahoma to California.

I always stop at as many car shows as I can find. I usually daydream about owning one of the model cars but now that I have custom wheels and and light truck tires, I feel like I’m entered in the shows.

My black chrome wheels look like they cost an outrageous amount of money but I found a great deal.

All of the car shows better start expecting me since I cruise around the United States every spring.

Map Collection: Map of France and Map of Greece

For our family vacation this year, my wife and I decided that it would great to take our son and daughter on a European trip. We planned everything out, even to our hours of free time. We figured that it might be years before the kids got to go back to Europe and we wanted to make sure they saw everything.

Once we arrived in Paris we went looking for different maps of France. I used this as an excuse to add to my map collection. I keep a map from every trip that I take and mark where I’ve been on that map. Once I get home I add them to my geographical map collection.

After about 4 days in France we flew to Greece. The kids loved Greece and I have to admit that I would have been happy there for the rest of our trip, too. our hotel had a great map of Greece and we were able to take our kids to see all of the ancient buildings in Rome.

Next year the kids want to go to China!

Tennis News Coverage

I am a tennis fan.  Yes I like to play tennis, but I think my real enjoyment of the game is found in watching great players on the court.  I love the big tournaments such as Wimbledon and the French Open.

I am constantly on the lookout for French Open tennis news coverage.  This is I think my favorite tournament because of the clay courts.  I often go online to look for this type of news as well as Wimbledon news.  Because these two tournaments are held close together I have feeds coming into my computer while I work.

During this coming season I am looking forward to some great action and hopefully all my favorite players will be in attendance.   It promises to be a great season for tennis fans we some great players contesting for the prizes.  I’m looking forward to it all!!
